Outlook can provoke several problems not all related to a larger than normal PST file. Although this is sometimes the major cause for Outlook corruption.

Even this larger file size limitation is reached as soon as the user has had his Outlook working for a few years. Splitting the PST is only solution if you want to keep all your data and not have to erase information.
